Job description

KWS Seeds USA is looking for a Business Development Intern who will support Business Development activities including but not limited to fabricating, maintaining, repairing, testing equipment, and assisting with the trials and studies to evaluate new and current systems/process used internally and by current and potentially new customers. The position is full-time and located in Grand Forks, ND with hourly base salary of $18.00.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Work with current and new systems being designed, which are used to sample and measure sugar beet quality
  • Collecting, processing and evaluating samples from Research and Development projects
  • Assist in conducting trials for calibration development and testing using Machine Vision and NIRS technology
  • Organizing, Cataloging and Shipping
  • Control schedule to accomplish projects on time and within cost estimate.
  • Maintaining, repairing and testing equipment
  • Fabricating, testing and updating prototypes equipment
  • Supporting current and new customers
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ensure Company handbook, Rules, Guidelines, Procedures and safety policies are followed and personal protective equipment is used correctly
  • Occasionally travel and/or drive on behalf of the business
  • Meet attendance requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Organizational, planning and creative problem-solving skills
  • Computer skills and ability to learn new systems
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
  • Ability to operate automated equipment and/or hand tools
  • Valid driver's license

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work in a warehouse/factory environment and/or outdoors in a variety of environmental conditions (loud, hot, cold, dusty, damp, and rain).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and work in high and precarious places, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
