Job description

AdventHealth Redmond is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our nationally recognized program in Northwest Georgia. The ideal surgeon would have a strong Cardiac skills with an interest in thoracic surgery and program development with the ability to maintain a cardiac surgery mix. This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-performing, faith-based health system committed to whole-person care.

Our physicians enjoy full access to an expert team of caregivers including: medical oncology, radiation oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, radiology and an experienced OR staff and support including advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of adult cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG and valve repair/replacement (thoracic interest a plus)
  • Help lead and grow our thoracic program throughout our Georgia market
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including cardiologists, pulmonologists, and critical care physicians
  • Contribute to quality improvement and clinical outcomes initiatives
Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Board-certified or board-eligible through the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
