Assistant Philosophy Professors are entry-level faculty members at colleges or universities who teach philosophy courses, conduct research, and contribute to academic service. They are typically in the early stages of their academic careers and may be on a tenure track. Their responsibilities include designing syllabi, grading, mentoring students, and publishing scholarly work. Assistant Professors also participate in departmental activities and serve on academic committees.

What are the typical responsibilities and challenges faced by an assistant philosophy professor in their first few years?

As an Assistant Professor of Philosophy, your primary responsibilities typically include teaching undergraduate and possibly graduate courses, conducting original research, and participating in departmental service. Certified Nursing Assistant CNA/GNA/CMT

HCAOA

Silver Spring, MD โ€ข On-site

$18/hr

Full-time

Re-posted 17 days ago

Job description

We are looking for CNA/GNA/CMT certified caregivers to join our growing in-home eldercare team. In most cases, you will start out part time with 4 hour visits with one client, but there is plenty of opportunities to build up to full time work if that is your goal. If you are available to work on Saturdays and Sundays, or in the evenings (4pm - 11pm) that is a great plus for us. Number of years of experience does not matter to us nearly as much as desire to learn, good communication skills, and, most of all, reliability.
Why would you want to work for us over other in-home care companies? We treat our employees with attentiveness, compassion, and respect. Our office staff, including our RN, are available and approachable if you have any concerns about your work schedule, clients you are working with, or any other worries. And we have our Google reviews to back this up.
Benefits:
โ€ข Competitive pay.
โ€ข Shifts offered within your availability.
โ€ข Training and growth opportunities, including 12 hours of paid annual course work.
โ€ข Use of our Care app to track your work schedule, see your caregiving responsibilities for each client, help with family communication, and more.
โ€ข Compensation for all travel on the job with clients and between client visits.
โ€ข Personal Protective Equipment provided by us.
Requirements:
โ€ข Must be authorized to work in United States.
โ€ข Must have current Maryland CNA/GNA/CMT certification or willing to renew an expired certification, or get a Maryland endorsement if your license is out of state.
โ€ข Must have current CPR certification.
โ€ข Vehicle ownership, valid Driver's license, and vehicle insurance preferred.
โ€ข Must pass pre-employment background investigation, Department of Motor Vehicle checks, drug test, as well as provide TB test results showing no active TB disease.
โ€ข Must be able to meet quality standards of care during shifts, and follow standard procedures for engaging with the rest of the care team, including, but not limited to:
  • Training Completion
  • Understanding and following protocols in clients' homes
  • Understanding and following attendance, timeliness and appearance expectations
  • Using technology to successfully follow, measure, and report activities associated with plan of care.
