The Human Resources Operations Specialist plays a key role in delivering accurate, efficient, and employee-focused HR operations. This position manages day-to-day HRIS administration, ensuring the integrity of employee and organizational data throughout the employee lifecycle. The role partners with HR Business Partners, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to support HR systems, improve processes, maintain reporting capabilities, and enhance the overall employee experience. Additionally, this position supports compensation administration, HR IT technology initiatives, and payroll processing activities while helping drive continuous improvement across HR operations.
How you'll help the formula:
HRIS Data Management
  • Maintain accurate employee and organizational data within tesa's global HRIS (SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions, including new hires, organizational changes, and terminations, within established timelines while ensuring data consistency across integrated systems.
  • Manage organizational structures, including positions, departments, reporting relationships and position hierarchies.
  • Conduct regular data audits to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and maintain data integrity.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, IT and cross-functional stakeholders to validate employee data and support organizational changes.
  • Document, maintain, and continuously improve HR data management processes and best practices. Participate in global training and implement new audit criteria as needed.
  • Generate month-end reports, ensuring accurate reporting and data reconciliation.

HR Systems and Process Support
  • Document HR processes, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency through automation.
  • Troubleshoot HR systems and integrations while resolving any issues.
  • Support the testing, implementation, and adoption of HR technology enhancements and system upgrades.
  • Maintain system documentation and identify recurring issues.
  • Serve as the primary HR Operations resource for the Applicant Tracking System (Paycor), providing functional support and guidance.
  • Administer and optimize electronic document management and workflow solutions, including DocuSign and SharePoint.

Reporting and Analytics
  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into workforce metrics, including headcount, turnover, and data quality.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports to support HR leadership and business decision-making.
  • Partner with stakeholders to enhance reporting capabilities and provide training on self-service reporting tools where applicable.

Compensation Support
  • Assist with annual merit cycle administration, including data preparation, validation, and template management.
  • Manage job description templates and workflows, partnering with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to ensure consistency and alignment with compensation structures.
  • Assist with compensation initiatives, including market surveys and other projects.

Payroll Backup Support
  • Serve as backup to the Payroll Supervisor during absences, PTO and peak processing periods.
  • Maintain proficiency in the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, calculations and approvals.
  • Support Payroll Supervisor with data audits as needed.

Key elements for your role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in HR operations, HR systems, HR administration or a similar role.
  • Experience working with HR systems and maintaining accurate employee data; experience with Paycor, SAP SuccessFactors, DocuSign or similar HR technology; preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with HR data and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve data issues while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and see tasks through to completion.
  • Experience supporting payroll processes or working with payroll-related data; preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, when/if needed.
