Montgomery County Parks, Enterprise Division, is currently seeking dynamic, energetic, fun seasonal/intermittent applicants to fill our exciting positions at the Wheaton Sports Pavilion, located in Wheaton, MD.

The facility is open year-round to offer yearly shifts. Examples of Important Duties OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE: Front Desk/Customer Services Representative (Starts @ $15.45/hr.) This position will assist the Facility Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the facility; ensures that all scheduled rentals and activities operate on time, and in a safe and controlled manner

Open and/or close the facility. Will serve as the facility's first point-of-contact for customer questions and/or concerns. Performs program registration, birthday rentals, and field reservations as assigned.

Prepares daily bank deposits and runs cash reports. Performs routine tasks associated with various recreation programs and activities including cleaning and basic preventative maintenance. This position must be comfortable performing basic computer functions (e.g

data entry capabilities), have a pleasant demeanor, and be knowledgeable of facility programs, fees and policies. Qualifications: Weekend work is required. Customer service and cash handling experience preferred.

Minimum age: 18 Activity Leader/Customer Service Representative (Starts @ $15.45/hr.) Activity Leaders are responsible for ensuring the party rentals have fun and exciting games to play on the synthetic turf field and serve as the facility's first point-of-contact for customer questions and/or concerns. Activity Leaders must have a pleasant demeanor, and be knowledgeable of facility programs, fees, and policies. They must perform routine cleaning tasks associated with facility operations

This position may serve as backup for front desk staff and must be comfortable performing basic computer functions (e.g. data entry capabilities). Qualifications: Basic knowledge of field games preferred

Weekend work is required. Minimum age: 16 Supplemental Information May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing. These positions are seasonal (part-time) and do not include benefits.

Pay rates are based on experience and qualifications. Applicants ages 16-17 require a work permit. All selected candidates must display excellent customer service skills, attain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (training classes available) and attend in-house orientation.
