Planned Companies -Package Handler/Concierge - Job Description

Schedule: Saturday 9:00am - 6:00pm and Sunday/Monday 11:00pm - 7:00am (24 hours per week)

Location: Fort Lee, NJ

Pay Rate: $ 18.00

Summary

The Package Handler will be responsible for efficiently managing the receipt, storage, and delivery of packages and mail for a high-end residential condominium community. This position plays a vital role in ensuring seamless operations and delivering excellent customer service to full-time residents. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a service-oriented attitude to maintain the quality and integrity of package management services.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive and log deliveriesof packages, mail, and other deliveries for residents into the property management system.
  • Notify residentsof incoming packages and facilitate the timely and accurate delivery of items.
  • Store packages securelyin designated areas, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible for retrieval.
  • Deliver packagesto residents' units or assist them in picking up items from the storage area.
  • Maintain the package roomor storage area in a neat, organized, and secure manner.
  • Handle special requestsfrom residents, such as scheduling deliveries, sending out packages, or coordinating with delivery services.
  • Assist with concierge dutiesas needed, including answering questions and providing information to residents.
  • Maintain records and logsof all transactions related to deliveries and report any discrepancies or issues to the management team.
  • Coordinate with building staffand external delivery services to manage bulk deliveries or large items.
  • Follow security proceduresto ensure that all packages are handled and delivered safely.
  • Support the concierge teamin creating a welcoming and service-focused environment for residents.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a package handling, concierge, or customer service role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
