Job description

BubbleCast - Assistant Operator

Summary of Job

The Production Trainer/Float is responsible for delivering comprehensive training across all production assets in the Garland facility. This role ensures that all manufacturing processes meet or exceed safety and quality standards. In addition to training responsibilities, the position also provides support for call-offs, vacation coverage, and other staffing needs as required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team leaders and supervisors to identify training needs and improve overall production efficiency.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to support Garland cross training goals
  • Ensure all safety protocols and quality standards are adhered to during training and throughout the production process.
  • Provide coverage for employee absences, including call-offs and vacation time, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Maintain accurate training records/Checklist and reports to track employee progress
  • Evaluate training materials and methods to ensure they are effective and up to date.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Read a tape measure to 1/32”.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Keep work areas clean following 5S guidelines.
  • Escalate safety, quality, performance issues as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Environmental Demands:

  • Heat may exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity for up to 12-hour shifts. 
  • Frequent Standing and walking, stooping, and squatting, bending, some kneeling and crawling, occasional bending and twisting, occasional stair climbing.
  • Pushing/Pulling 30 – 50 pounds.
  • Occasional reaching, repetitive use of wrist, hands and fingers, frequent use of shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles.
