Job description

Job Summary

The Injection Operator Assistant supports Injection Operators in the daily operation of injection molding machines to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production of high-quality preforms. This role focuses on material handling, basic inspections, documentation, housekeeping, and assisting with routine operational and minor maintenance tasks while following GMP, safety, and company standards.


  • Shift: 3rd shift 10pm - 6:30am
  • Days: Thursday - Monday (Days off Tuesdays & Wednesdays)
  • Pay Rate: $19/hr

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Injection Operators with machine start-ups, monitoring, and daily production activities
  • Monitor and replenish resin levels; stage and manage materials, labels, and additives
  • Perform packaging, labeling, gaylord changes, palletizing, and scrap handling
  • Conduct basic visual inspections for defects and report issues promptly
  • Complete production logs, checklists, and material traceability documentation
  • Support minor machine stoppages, preventative maintenance, and mold change preparation
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas following 5S, GMP, and safety standards
  • Safely operate material handling equipment and follow all PPE and safety policies


Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to bend, reach, climb, and work around loud machinery while wearing PPE
