Job description

CGN is seeking a competent and motivated Broadcast Camera Operator / Production to assist with live golf broadcasts. This role is ideal for college students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in sports broadcasting. Candidates must be 18 years or older and available for all listed dates.

Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, 24400 MS-15, Saucier, MS 39574

Broadcast Days: Oct 5 - 7 (Must be available these days)


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CGN Broadcast and Communications team on production concepts and execution.
  • Meet with CGN staff to discuss broadcast plans and logistics.
  • Provide creative and practical input during planning.
  • Operate a camera on the golf course, capturing live action.
  • Troubleshoot technical and practical issues as they arise.
  • Edit footage as needed.
  • Perform additional production-related tasks as assigned.


Requirements & Skills

  • Experience in photography and videography.
  • Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
  • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of camera operation and equipment (tripods, stabilizers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with golf and the ability to track players on the course.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to think quickly and act decisively in fast-paced situations.
  • Physical ability to:
  • Be on your feet for up to 80% of the shift.
  • Lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Stand, bend, stoop, twist, and turn for prolonged periods.
  • Work in various weather conditions, including prolonged sun exposure.
  • Strong color vision and hearing for high-quality video capture.
  • Degree in film, media production, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a production assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry terminology.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
