Heat Press Operator Acoufelt specializes in delivering high-quality soft architectural acoustics solutions tailored to the unique needs of our clients. We work with contractors, ceiling sub-contractors, designers, and architects to provide products that enhance and transform interior workspaces. Our portfolio includes a range of premium soft architectural materials and products designed for commercial projects. The Heat Press Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of hydraulic heat press equipment and industrial ovens used in the manufacturing process. This role includes machine setup, mold changes, material loading, oven operation, monitoring production cycles, maintaining quality standards, and performing routine equipment inspections. The operator works closely with production personnel to ensure products are processed accurately, equipment remains in proper working condition, and production schedules are met. Shift: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM- 4:30PM Compensation: Starting at $19 Essential Duties and Responsibilities Press & Oven Operation Operate hydraulic press equipment and industrial ovens according to established work instructions and safety procedures. Verify machine and oven settings before each production run. Set and monitor required production parameters, including pressure, temperature, and cycle times. Load, unload, and transfer materials between ovens, molds, and presses as required. Monitor production cycles to ensure consistent product quality. Remove completed molds and materials safely after processing. Maintain proper material flow through the heating and pressing process. Use production paperwork to follow product quantities. Mold Setup and Changeovers Assist with mold installation and removal using proper lifting and handling procedures. Ensure molds are correctly aligned and seated within designated spacers and fixtures. Inspect molds for wear, damage, and cleanliness before use. Work with team members during mold changes, requiring a two-person lift when necessary. Safety Compliance Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain awareness of emergency stop locations and machine safety systems. Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and free of obstructions. Report unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or incidents immediately. Safely handle heated materials and equipment during oven and press operations. Quality Control Verify materials are properly positioned and prepared before processing. Monitor product quality throughout heating and pressing operations. Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or equipment issues. Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications. Equipment Maintenance Perform daily cleaning of molds, presses, ovens, and surrounding work areas. Conduct routine inspections of hydraulic systems, pressure gauges, safety devices, and heating equipment. Report maintenance concerns to manager or maintenance personnel. Assist with preventative maintenance activities as assigned. Troubleshooting Identify and assist in resolving common operational issues, including: Hydraulic system malfunctions Mold alignment problems Pressure inconsistencies Oven temperature variations Cycle timing issues Escalate unresolved equipment problems to maintenance personnel.
