POSITION: CREEL TENDER
DEPARTMENT: GUMMING/LAMINATING
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists the Laminator Operator as it relates to the economy of the operation, quality and quantity of product, cleanliness of the area, and work performed in a safe manner.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Receives instructions from the Operator and Manager or Supervisors.
2. Maintains upstairs and downstairs creels and insures use of proper yarn denier and yarn placement for shop work order.
3. Responsible for the following:
A. Places spools on creel racks and splices together
B. Putting CD yarns in scrim
C. Putting yarns in eyeboard and comb
D. Packages reject/empty spools
E. Stocks spools/supplies into creel areas
4. Responsible for assisting the Operator or Assistant Operator with:
A. Mill roll (unwind splices and preparation)
B. Web breaks
5. Performs other tasks as directed by Manager or Supervisor.
