Job description

Perform the duties necessary to maximize and maintain production in the Schumag Department while maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all setups for stock sizes as well as the actual setting up of machines.
  • Ensure the quality of the product by both micrometer and visual checks
  • Responsible for the pointing of tubing, injection of lube and operation of machine. Also responsible for changing of solvent to maintain clean plugs.
  • Responsible for checking incoming and outgoing baskets and ensuring that they are free of breakers and partial wraps
  • Clean and maintain department when not involved in other duties or at the discretion of his/her supervisor.
  • Assist any current operator as needed and help tot train and instruct any new operator as necessary.
  • Must perform all job functions in a safe manner
  • Ability to read and write
