This position is 100% on-site at our Bohemia, NY office. This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a department of state or commercial license.

Salary Range for this position is $150,000- 175,000, depending on experience.

Summary:

The Operations Manager will lead the Magnetics Operations Team across two facilities (New York and Mexico). This role is responsible for driving operational excellence through exemplary leadership, achieving revenue goals, optimizing manufacturing processes and fostering continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure manufacturing areas meet or exceed customer expectations by managing On-Time Delivery (OTD), Past Dues and Quality ratings. Coordinate with the planning team and your manufacturing supervisors to develop build plans based on existing backlog, sales forecasts and historical data. Regularly review order backlogs to identify potential pull-in opportunities, operational risk and accelerate production timelines as needed.
  • Leadership: Lead a manufacturing team to include hiring, developing and managing performance of 3-5 direct reports. Provide regular performance appraisals, establish performance goals and recognize areas needing further development. Manage total employee count at all levels of manufacturing to align labor capacity with actual workload.
  • Productivity: Ensure established work instructions are accurately documented and closely followed. Identify best practices already in use by some areas and scale their impact to other areas. Lead and support team-driven initiatives for process optimization, system improvements and productivity gains. Identify and execute Capital Expenditure requests with a focus on automation, quality, standardization, repeatability and replacement of aging equipment.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Procurement team to maintain raw material inventory levels and expedite shortages. Work with Engineering on new product designs, prototype development, and transition to full-scale production. Support forecasted orders from Sales by building ahead.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s Degree preferred) in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in manufacturing management
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and managing production schedules
    • Direct experience in Glovia ERP is a bonus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Bilingual (Spanish) Required
  • · Travel required (25-50%) between company facilities and customer locations, including regular travel to Mexico. During the initial onboarding and transition period, travel may exceed 50% as operational alignment and team integration activities are completed; however, long-term travel expectations are anticipated to remain within the 25-50% range.
