Our Berks County Division, located in Reading, PA is currently searching for an OperationS Manager!

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure the division delivers top-notch customer service in accordance with the company's core philosophy, "If it's service, it's us".
  • Act as liaison to municipalities, customers, and clients to build strong working relationships.
  • Work in conjunction with the General Manager to ensure day-to-day operations of the division; planning and controlling operations to ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly operational goals are met or exceeded
  • Complete all required reporting accurately and in a timely manner, including but not limited to, daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Sets up and/or approve the daily schedule and allocate manpower and equipment to attain the highest possible level of customer service in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Responsible for the training of all drivers, laborers and supervisors in the policies, procedures and customer service goals of the company.
  • Ensure all drivers, driver's helpers, dispatchers and supervisors properly represent the company in the daily conduct of their duties.
  • Present proper recognition and/or disciplinary action in a timely manner in accordance with the company's policies and procedures
  • Anticipate service problems and develops contingency plan(s) to handle the same.
  • Responsible for route design and efficiency
  • Maintain and ensure compliance is met at 100% for all D.E.R., OSHA and D.O.T. rules and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of safety and quality assurance programs.
  • Assist the General Manager in budget preparation.
  • Project and maintain a positive image with peers, subordinates, customers and community in all situations.
  • Continuously improve customer satisfaction by providing outstanding customer service, reducing/eliminating missed pick-ups, late pick-ups, and substandard employee performance/behavior.
  • Interview employee candidates, recommends individuals for hire, ensure proper orientation and training.
  • Responsible for ensuring the facilities and equipment are maintained in accordance with company standards.
  • Special projects and other job duties as assigned.

You Have/Are:

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of supervisory/leadership experience
  • CDL Driver's License
  • A valid driver's license
  • P & L knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong skills related to Microsoft Office software products
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

You May Have:

  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of Operations Management experience
