The Role:
JCDecaux is hiring an Assistant Operations Manager who will report to the : Regional Vice President of Operations, New York Street Furniture and work out of our Maspeth, NY warehouse. JCDecaux holds New York City's Street Furniture Contract and is responsible for its maintenance, cleaning, and posting of several hundred fixtures and digital screens. The Assistant Operations Manager will be responsible for managing Operations Supervisors and overseeing Cleaning and Posting Technicians and nightly required cleaning, services and repairing of street furniture.
Shift time: Night shift, Sunday - Thursday 6:30PM - 3:00AM
Responsibilities:
  • Hires, train, manage, motivate and lead a team of Cleaning and Posting Technicians and Supervisors in a Union environment while ensuring proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained
  • Maintain an overall management style that follows company best practices and policies while providing leadership and direction to all employees and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises
  • Ensure timecards are accurate for Cleaning and Posting Technician work activities during the cleaning, servicing and repairing of street furniture
  • Prepare and present employee reviews and provide feedback and coaching when needed
  • Complete reports assigned by Operations Manager regarding cleaning, inspection, and time sheets
  • Ensure that safety and security rules are followed
  • Work closely with Operations Supervisors to complete weekly tasks including but not limited to training, cleaning routes and missing stops
  • Oversee snow deployment
  • Act as back up to Operations Manager in their absence
  • Manage posting and complete posting confirmations as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years' management experience
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
  • Experience dealing with city agencies is preferred
  • Experience managing minimum of 10 people in union environment
  • Excellent knowledge of New York City
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite

Additional Information:
Base Salary Range: $70,000 - 75,000
