Assistant Director of Operations
The Goddard School - State Bridge Road | Alpharetta, GA
Are you a highly organized leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves making things happen? The Goddard School on State Bridge Road is seeking an Assistant Director of Operations to help lead the day-to-day operations of our award-winning preschool serving families in Alpharetta and Johns Creek.
This is more than an office position. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, solves problems before they arise, and keeps every part of the school running smoothly. From staffing and scheduling to events, social media, enrollment support, food service, and daily operations, you will play a critical role in creating an exceptional experience for our children, families, and teachers.

What You'll Do:
Daily School Operations
  • Oversee the daily operational needs of the school to ensure everything runs efficiently.
  • Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional environment.
  • Manage opening and closing operational procedures.
  • Ensure classrooms have the supplies and support they need each day.

Staffing & Team Support
  • Assist with staff scheduling and classroom coverage.
  • Coordinate interviews, onboarding, and new employee orientation.
  • Support teacher development and daily coaching.
  • Help maintain compliance with staff files and licensing requirements.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and attendance tracking.

Enrollment & Family Experience
  • Welcome prospective families and conduct school tours.
  • Follow up on enrollment leads and assist families through the enrollment process.
  • Build strong relationships with current families by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Support retention initiatives and family events throughout the year.

School Events & Community Outreach
  • Plan and coordinate school events, family engagement activities, and seasonal celebrations.
  • Build partnerships with local businesses and the Alpharetta/Johns Creek community.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives that help grow enrollment.

Marketing & Social Media
  • Create engaging social media content showcasing daily classroom activities and school events.
  • Help maintain the school's online presence and reputation.
  • Coordinate marketing materials and promotional campaigns.

Food & Building Operations
  • Oversee snack and meal inventory and ordering.
  • Coordinate food deliveries and maintain kitchen organization.
  • Monitor inventory of classroom and office supplies.
  • Ensure the school remains clean, organized, safe, and inspection-ready every day.

Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Support all Georgia Bright from the Start licensing requirements and Goddard Quality Assurance standards.
  • Conduct health and safety checks throughout the building.
  • Assist with emergency drills and compliance documentation.
  • Help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Must meet all Georgia state licensing requirements and successfully complete required background checks.
