Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced HVAC Service & Sales Manager to join our team! In this role, you will lead installation teams, diagnose, troubleshoot, and be the point of contact for problem resolution, and lead sales calls.  
You have past experience in an HVAC service technician role and hold an EPA certification. A team player who is comfortable working independently, you love the feeling of a job well done and take pride in completing customer jobs with efficiency. A positive attitude is a must! 
Responsibilities: 
  •  Lead and manage the daily operations of the HVAC service department. 
  •  Supervise, coach, and develop service technicians and sales personnel. 
  •  Conduct regular ride-alongs, performance evaluations, and training sessions. 
  •  Ensure technicians follow company processes, safety standards, and quality expectations. 
  •  Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including revenue, average ticket, close rate, maintenance agreement sales, callback rate, and technician efficiency. 
  •  Coach technicians on ethical service recommendations and customer communication. 
  •  Manage inventory levels, truck stock, and equipment ordering to minimize downtime. 
  •  Review completed work orders for accuracy, profitability, and documentation. 
  •  Resolve customer concerns and escalated service issues professionally and promptly. 
  •  Develop and implement strategies to increase service revenue and profitability. 
  •  Collaborate with the installation department to ensure smooth job transitions. 
  •  Monitor warranty claims and manufacturer requirements. 
  •  Maintain high customer satisfaction scores and online reputation. 
  •  Foster a positive, accountable, and customer-focused company culture.
Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
  •  2+ years of HVAC management or supervisory experience preferred. 
  •  Strong knowledge of residential heating, cooling, indoor air quality, and heat pump systems. 
  •  Proven leadership and team development skills. 
  •  Demonstrated success improving technician performance and profitability. 
  •  Strong understanding of HVAC diagnostics and repair procedures. 
  •  Ability to coach technicians in customer communication and sales. 
  •  Knowledge of flat-rate pricing and service management best practices. 
  •  Excellent conflict resolution and customer service skills. 
  •  Strong organizational and time management abilities. 
  •  Proficiency with HVAC CRM and dispatch software (such as ServiceTitan). 
  •  Familiarity with inventory management and purchasing. 
  •  Knowledge of EPA regulations, OSHA safety requirements, and local mechanical codes. 
  •  EPA Section 608 Certification required. 
  •  Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
