Job description

PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES

  • Prepare equipment for repairing by pressure washing, blasting, painting etc.
  • Check all structural and mechanical components for defects
  • Make any necessary repairs and replace broken parts
  • Calibrate equipment and paint exterior surfaces
  • Assist in shipping and inventory related matters
  • Assist in training new shop personnel
  • Provide assistance to others in difficult repair tasks
  • Knowledge of rig floor and pressure control equipment
  • Perform other work related tasks as assigned
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum 4 years heavy equipment manufacturing or repair experience
  • Minimum 4 years hydraulic experience, either in manufacturing or repair

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Mechanically inclined 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to be a team-player 
  • Great verbal and oral communication skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or combination of education and experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Physically able to stand, bend, lift items over head, and crouch for short periods
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 12 hours per day
 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • 1-3 years experience with hydraulics
