Description

Position Overview:  

The Loan Officer Assistant's primary role is to act as a liaison between the Loan Officer, borrowers, and operation departments. Assist with ensuring clear communication for a smooth closing transaction.   


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Loan Officer as needed (minus any licensed activity) 
  • Assist in collection missing documentation for completion of loan file from borrowers.   
  • Work with the Processor to collect documentation to clear Loan Officer conditions.   
  • Update the Loan Officer on status of conditions and copy Loan Officer on correspondence and requests for documentation.  
  • Ordering verification of employment (VOE) 
  • Stack file for processing.  
  • Manage client and referral partner databases. 
  • Perform basic office functions including taking phone calls, scheduling meetings, making copies.  
  • Able to comply with the policies and procedures outlined in the Company Handbook  
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Education/Experience:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with at least two years of experience in Mortgage lending or related field. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, strong detail orientation and highly organized. 
  • Works with a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness. 
  • Passionate about delivering excellence in customer service. 
  • Demonstrated patience and professionalism when interacting with both internal and external customers. 
  • Proficiency with data entry, PDF software programs, Microsoft Word, and Excel required. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic math skills. 
  • Ethical, with a commitment to company values.

  • Fluency in English language (written, oral, spoken); fluency in a second language desirable.
