2nd Shift Machine Operator Assistant | $20/Hour | 2:00pm10:30pm, Monday - Friday

Job Description
A leading packaging company in Bardstown, Kentucky, is hiring for their Lamination Department. This role includes set-up, clean down, roll changing, and quality of production.
Responsibilities:
  • Obtain production order and determine specs for impending job
  • Arrange for delivery of materials needed to machine areas
  • Load print rolls and base films and/or materials onto unwind stands
  • Perform basic quality checks on films
  • Miz primers, using prescribed formulas, and maintaining adequate levels in reservoirs
  • Apply tape to resin rollers
  • Set brake control pressures and threading through machines
  • Remove finished roll of laminated material from rewind
  • Assist Press Operator with job changes
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical Degree or certification is preferred
  • Must wear proper PPE (Personal Protective and Product Protective Equipment)
  • Possess at least 3 years experience in a machine operator role
  • Prior experience with measurement tools and testing equipment
  • Must be able to train on 1st shift, 6:00am – 2:30pm
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening, including drug and background checks
