Job Summary:

They are seeking a Network Security Engineer to lead and oversee network security activities, ensuring timely resolution of problems and requests while implementing robust security measures.
Responsibilities:
• Configuration, installation, testing, deployment, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation of network security, utilizing industry best practices for security, disaster recovery and business continuity, change control, and client support
• Assisting in creation of robust network designs
• Act as the primary point of contact and lead security engineer for implementations and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
• Pro-actively identify organization’s requirements, and help design, and engineer implementations that best serve the needs.
• Perform project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of data security networks.
• Provide assessment, design and implementation services of data and secure networking environments.
• Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively manage the implementation process from design to acceptance.
• Assist internal groups through capacity planning, maintaining, monitoring and review of secure data communications networks.
• Lead migrations or assist in a team of engineers who will migrate traditional/legacy network security platforms to current/next generation technologies, and expose customers to the full life-cycle of defense in depth solutions.
• Assist network engineers in troubleshooting critical problems or threat remediation relating to network security products.
• Work with the engineering team to successfully implement configuration guidelines, change management, and standard operating procedures for secure network solutions.
• Lead, schedule, provide guidance and coordinate the activities with other team members to resolve end user problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Generate weekly status reports including project progress, key milestones, and tasks accomplished, etc. Host weekly status meetings/calls with team or on as needed basis.
Qualifications:
Required:
• A Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer Certification
• Industry leader’s networking certification of professional level
• College-level degree in IT related field
• At least 10 years of relevant IT work experience with at least 8 years of experience in networking/security field
• Complex switching, routing, wireless, software defined networking - Cisco
• Firewalls - Cisco (ASA) and Palo Alto
• Network Access Control - Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Access Control Server (ACS), ACLs
• Intrusion Detection and Prevention – Palo Alto, Cisco, scripting, regular expressions
• Content Filtering – Palo Alto, Trustwave
• Reverse Proxies, Load Balancing - A10, Cisco, F5
• Remote Access solutions – Cisco and Palo Alto VPNs, IPSEC, SSL
• Two-factor authentication solutions - (RSA)
• Authentication standards - (802.1x) in wired and wireless applications
• Scalable routing protocols - (EIGRP, BGP)
• Enterprise Data Center - Cisco SDN ACI
• Certificate Management – PKI
• Packet/Protocol Analysis – Opnet, Riverbed, Wireshark, taps
• Vulnerability Management – Nessus, NMAP, Windows, Unix, Linux OS
• Centralized Management – Panorama, Solarwinds
