Job description

PROLIM Global Corporation (www.prolim.com) is currently seeking Datacenter Network Deployment Specialist for location New Albany, Ohio, United States for one of our Top clients.

Job Description:

- Augment existing local ENS Deployment engineering staff through scale out of existing production datacenter campus into multi-campus production environment.

- Assist in executing all datacenter network retrofit and new-build activities through use of internal workflows/tools

- Ensure data quality & accuracy in logical tooling throughout deployment process

- Support on site network activations as needed, eg. during new rack/suite power up and provisioning

- Support project management with local partners, eg. install and cabling vendors

- Escalate blockers and issues with local & partner teams

- Onsite at the data center, actively supporting our deployment activities

-Walking the field and handling cabling/network activation

- Small amount of project coordination with the FTE team and project

Must-Have Skills

  • 4+ years of work experience responsible for designing, deploying and operating large-scale networks, experience configurating and troubleshooting routing/switching protocols, working knowledge of physical network infrastructure including fiber-optic cabling, proven experience supporting multiple projects.
  • Network Engineer/Network admin with 4+ years of work experience in deploying and operating large-scale networks
  • Needs to have that field experience of physically handling fiber-optic cable and project management experience as they will be working with many different teams
  • Optical transport experience, DWDM or CWDM
