We Are Looking For:
Advanced Systems Group LLC. is seeking an experienced Post Production Supervisor for a full-time, permanent, 100% onsite role located in Santa Monica, CA. This role is focused on social media and creative marketing post-production, overseeing a team of in-house post artists and coordinating with day player vendors, including editors and motion graphics artists. The supervisor will collaborate with producers and internal teams to create schedules and budgets, drive creative storytelling through post-production, and ensure the efficient execution of post-production workflows across a high volume of social media content.
Responsibilities:
Post Production Management
  • Oversee the work of in-house post artists at GSS Studios and day player vendors, including editors and motion graphics artists
  • Collaborate with producers and internal partners to create post-production schedules and budgets
  • Generate or obtain post-production budgets and bids, and help negotiate the best service deals
  • Ensure that the post-production schedule is adhered to, keep internal team members and external vendors on schedule, and oversee file exchanges between post teams, production teams, and internal partners
  • Keep internal and external post teams on target for delivery and scheduled review sessions of cuts with producers, internal partners, and leadership
  • Schedule, lead, and attend meetings such as cut reviews, locks, mixes, color corrections, and QCs
  • Notate cuts and transmit notes to clients, producers, leadership, and other project partners

Vendor and Roster Management
  • Build and maintain a robust roster of creative vendors, including editors, motion graphics artists, and other post talent to support social media content production
  • Maintain a network of post vendors and service providers to deliver consistent premium content
  • Communicate post-production equipment needs and concerns for planning and budgeting

Creative and Content Standards
  • Document and update best practices, creative standards, and technical workflows to maintain high quality standards while supporting the visions of internal partners and production teams
  • Quality control media files to ensure technical requirements are met for final air and distribution
  • Serve as the post production technical liaison to cross functional internal teams such as Marketing, Content, AR, Engineering, Comms, and DEI
  • Stay current on the latest post trends and evaluate new products to advise on risks and benefits
  • Fill in as a video editor or motion graphics support as needed

Project and Media Management
  • Plan media management workflows for projects and organize assets for delivery
  • Use project management platforms such as monday.com to input post production project data, communicate with internal partners and team members, assist with post scheduling, and illustrate metrics via visual dashboards
  • Create and ensure backup redundancies across all content file libraries
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • MUST HAVE: Experience producing high volume social media content, whether at a tech company, social media platform, marketing agency, or production company with a strong social focus
  • An existing roster of trusted creative vendors including editors, motion graphics artists, and other post talent ready to bring to the table
  • 4 or more years of experience in production and/or post production supervision and/or coordination
  • 2 or more years of post or related service leadership
  • MUST HAVE: 3 or more years of hands on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro CC and After Effects
  • Experience with project management platforms such as monday.com, Trello, Airtable, Smartsheet, or similar tools
  • Ability to navigate change and ambiguity in a fast moving, evolving production environment
  • Experienced at building and managing post production budgeting and scheduling from start to finish
  • Thorough understanding of post management operations including working knowledge of media delivery specs, video formats, and codecs
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  • A proven technical background in post production
  • Experience with subtitling and captioning workflows
