Job description

ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Digital Extremes Web team is looking to hire a motivated Junior Designer interested in helping us shape Warframe.com and Soulframe.com. You should be creative and curious, passionate about gaming, and have completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in web/visual design or a related discipline. You will work with us primarily on website designs and occasionally related touchpoints like the Warframe companion app or the PC game launcher. At Digital Extremes, you'll learn how to balance content and accessibility with interactive visual designs. If these last few sentences have gotten you excited, we'd love to chat with you!

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in the creative process for Warframe and Soulframe websites, from research and ideation to final execution. You will take ownership of projects from start to finish.
  • Partner with our Senior, Principal, and Lead Designers to collaborate on big ideas and to create web-ready assets.
  • Prepare Figma files and final image assets for dev handoff and provide design QA on websites in development.
  • Collaborate with marketing, multimedia, community, development, and other teams to align goals and maintain consistency across the Warframe and Soulframe universe.
  • Learn and uphold UX principles for web and mobile.
  • Create flexible, screen-agnostic designs and prototypes in Figma.
  • Use Adobe Photoshop to edit game art and create textures and images for the web.
  • Document and contribute to our design system.
REQUIREMENTS
  •  A two or four year degree in Visual Design or related degree: UX/UI, Interactive Design, Product Design, Web Design, Graphic Design, etc.
  • Exceptional visual and technical understanding of the creation of interactive websites.
  • A strong attention to detail; someone who strives for pixel-perfection and polish on their work.
  • Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to create concepts and make decisions with incomplete information as our games are constantly in development.
  • Knowledge or experience related to information architecture, motion design and branding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for clear, inclusive, and collaborative feedback.
  • An online portfolio is required for consideration. Please include three or more projects that demonstrate your knowledge and experience in UI/UX, product design, interactive design or web design.

Please note that the salary range mentioned in this job description should serve simply as a guide. The final compensation offered may vary based on a variety of factors, including bonuses and/or incentives, or a candidate's experience, skills, budget and location. Digital Extremes is committed to providing a fair, equitable, and competitive package that reflects the value a candidate brings.

Salary Range: $50,000 -$60,000 CAD
