Job description

We are seeking a talented and versatile Motion Designer to join our retail client's creative team and help elevate visual storytelling across multiple digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a standout designer who seamlessly blends motion graphics expertise with traditional graphic design skills. You should be comfortable creating high-energy content for TikTok and Instagram, as well as banner ads, and website content.

Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate electronic layouts for emails, catalogues, flyers, booklets, and other digital/print projects.
  • Attend pick-up meetings to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure all marketing objectives are fully understood and met.
  • Search electronic archives for useful art, provide printed references to Producers, and produce finished art for new graphic elements, headings, and slugs (English and French).
  • Ensure layouts translate effectively across photography, copy, and overall creative guidelines; provide layout tissue revisions following reviews.
  • Evaluate the reusability of existing photography versus the need for new shoots and produce high-quality mock-ups and creative presentations.

Requirements

  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
  • Proven experience creating motion graphics for social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and Meta.
  • Strong understanding of type formatting, color sense, and the principles of retail, email, and promotional advertising.
  • Previous working experience in Adobe Workfront is a huge bonus.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively within a team and communicate complex creative ideas clearly.
  • A willingness to go beyond expectations by finding novel solutions and building flexibility into every project.
