Job description

Salary: $18-$21

General Job Description:

The Shop Assistant is responsible forfulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing, and storing inventory according to purchase orders and company procedures. They also ensure that shipping schedules are met with attention to detail to ensure timely delivery of goods to construction projects.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and provide equipment, product, service & material orders
  • Picking/Pulling (Fulfillment) of equipment & material orders
  • Maintain stock inventory levels of equipment & material
  • Enter completed orders into computerized Order Management System.
  • Deliver fulfilled orders of equipment & material to construction project
  • Retrieve tools & material from construction project back to warehouse
  • Inspect tools & Equipment for safe and proper operation.
  • Restock shelves
  • Coordinate incoming delivery of construction (Project Specific) goods
  • Offload incoming deliveries of construction (Project Specific) goods
  • Enter construction (Project Specific) goods into computerized Warehouse Management System
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous forklift experience
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment


Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Interpersonal communication skills and a positive, professional attitude when interacting with co-workers, clients, customers, etc
