Job description

Reports to: IT Director
Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cybersecurity Administrator with 3+ years of Cybersecurity experience to join our growing IT team. This role will support the organization's existing Cybersecurity team, working closely with our Senior Security Administrator while reporting directly to the Director of IT. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Cybersecurity principles, hands-on experience with security tools and practices, and familiarity with Microsoft Exchange Online is a strong plus.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to security alerts, incidents & tickets.
  • Assist in vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies such as SIEM, DLP & IAM
  • Conduct regular cybersecurity audits and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to maintain Cybersecurity Awareness training.
  • Assist in maintaining email security and Exchange-related configurations and monitoring.
  • Verbal communication skills to be able to relay detailed information in plain English.
  • Effective written communication skills via email, IM, Technical documentation & User documentation.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no supervisor responsibilities


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Cybersecurity or IT security role.
  • 1+ years of email administration or email security experience.

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with SIEM tools, firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
  • Hybrid AD\Entra\Microsoft experience.
  • Understanding of network protocols, threat vectors, and security best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange administration or security.
  • Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, MC or similar.
  • Experience with phishing detection and email gateway tools.


Physical/Mental Demands:
Position requires a high degree of concentration to manage frequent interruptions while meeting strict deadlines. This position requires the ability to perform duties using both typical office equipment such as computers, cell phones, and printers as well as the ability to communicate and perform tasks in an office environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
