The Assistant Merchandiser provides operational support to the Merchandising team in the execution of seasonal assortments across wholesale and DTC channels. This role focuses on maintaining data accuracy, managing samples, and supporting key merchandising processes. Working closely with the Merchandising Manager, the Assistant Merchandiser helps coordinate communication between cross-functional partners including Design, Sourcing, Planning, and Marketing teams to ensure accuracy, smooth product development and production workflows.
This role is an in office role, sitting in our downtown Greenville SC office.
Crew Position:
• Support the Merchandiser in the SKU planning process by gathering sales data, helping with market trend research, and reviewing past product performance
• Maintain product information and updates in the product master file.
• Support brand events by providing mannequin looks and line assortment in partnership with Merchandising Manager.
Direct to Customer (DTC)
• Run and deliver weekly merchandising sales reports to the Merchandiser.
• Build foundational knowledge in selling trends and assortment opportunities. Share opportunities for improvement.
• Develop working knowledge of AI tools used to create quick-turn products aligned with customer preferences.
• Assist in tracking the progress of product development by checking in with vendor partners and making sure key deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with the Merchandiser and Sales team to assist with gathering information for product pricing suggestions.
• Review ECOM imagery and product details to ensure accuracy.
Wholesale
• Assist with coordinating and tracking sample requests for the marketing and sales teams. Help organize samples, prep them for meetings, and keep things on schedule.
• Support accuracy of product features and benefits to cross functional teams for linebooks.
• In collaboration with Merchandiser, update and distribute the Salesman Sample (SMS) change log.
• Assist in gathering and preparing product samples for seasonal sales meetings.
• Assists Merchandising Manager with GWP market research, vendor communication, internal communication costing, and following calendar.
Visual Merchandising
• Responsible for setting up and maintaining corporate showroom displays and collateral.
DTC
• Create and maintain consistent and effective communication for all retail stores.
• Collaborate with Sr. Director of Retail, as well as appropriate internal teams, to establish and communicate visual merchandising standards and guidelines. This includes
initial store set up, capacity, fixture needs, merchandise assortment and allocation parameters.
• Participate in store openings or closures as needed.
Wholesale
• Develop merchandising direction and tools
