INCREASED PAY RATES - TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM - GENEROUS PTO PACKAGE

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and hard-working Administrative Assistant to work full-time in the medical department at the Westmoreland County Prison located in Westmoreland, PA. In this role, you will provide clerical support to the medical department staff.


Available Shifts: Full-Time Day Shift (Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)


Job Responsibilities:

  • Handles incoming phone calls from other departments and facilities.
  • Schedules all outside appointments and consults
  • Orders all supplies for the Medical Department
  • Collects data for end-of-month reports
  • Filing, faxing, and data entry.
  • Scanning documents into the computer.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Maintaining a staff log.
  • Scheduling transports.
  • Scanning medical files and responding to record requests.
  • Working closely with the medical department management team to manage daily tasks.


This position provides a 2 week orientation period where you will be training on the job and shadowing with the nursing staff.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of office administrative support in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills (including Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with medical terms and abbreviations preferred
  • Ability to work with confidential matters and information is required
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written and an ability to interact well with others
  • Must be organized with the ability to multi-task and have a willingness to work
  • Must be able to deal with difficult people/situations in a calm polite manner
