Join Our Team as a Marine Engineer (MED I) at Australia's Only Ocean-Grown Barramundi Farm!

Are you an experienced marine engineer with an MED I certification? Jump on board for a unique opportunity with Tassal, working on the stunning Cone Bay Island in the Buccaneer Archipelago.

About the Role: As a Marine Engineer on the Karribi vessel, you'll report to the Skipper and be responsible for overseeing daily operations and routine maintenance of machinery. There will also be the need from time to time to support our land based maintenance operations, giving you a great variety of projects to be involved in. This position operates on an even time roster, providing a balanced work-life schedule.

Location: Cone Bay offers a picturesque and remote working environment. Tassal provides accommodation, a gym, and all meals on the island, along with a travel allowance for transport from Broome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Routine Maintenance: Ensure minimal unscheduled downtime by completing routine maintenance of machinery.
  • Start-Up/Shut-Down Procedures: Execute start-up and shut-down checks and procedures.
  • Vessel Housekeeping: Maintain the vessel, focusing on engine rooms and deck machinery.
  • Farm Duties: Assist with general farm duties as directed by the Skipper.
