Assistant Manager - Concessions Job Description

Wage: $17/hour + tips ($2-3 additional pay per hour)

Shift: Full-time. Includes Saturdays and holidays. Closed Sundays.

Summary: Are you looking for fun-filled work that is fulfilling and full of opportunities for growth? Then look no further! Our Concessions team helps with our awesome events held in our Ashton Gardens venue, ranging from Tulip Festival, to concerts, to Uncharted Worlds, and more!

Responsibilities:

  • Assists guests with concessions orders by cashiering and handling cash

  • Fulfill orders with accuracy, efficiency, and cheer

  • Be upbeat and patient with guests and coworkers

  • Keep work areas clean and orderly

  • Follow directions of managers

  • Close each location depending on shift

  • Daily prep

  • Fill out stocking lists

  • Help motivate other employees, assign tasks, and follow up

  • Check off closing lists with employees

  • Oversee 3 locations of operations

  • Exemplify Thanksgiving Point’s Mission, Values and Policies.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Requirements:

  • A great positive attitude and excellent customer service skills

  • Experience as a supervisor or manager preferred

  • Self-motivated, punctual, organized, and timely with work duties

  • Ability to adapt and be flexible

  • Kind and patient with guests and co-workers

  • Willingness to learn and work as a team

  • Clean and professional appearance

  • Physical requirements include standing for long periods of time and lifting 25+ lbs.

  • Food Handlers Permit

  • Be at least 18 years old.

  • Must pass a background check.
