Job description

Position Overview

The Assistant Manager, Operations at Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. supports daily operational activities to ensure efficient delivery, customer satisfaction, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relations with vendors, stores, and independent contractors.
  • Ensure follow‑up on shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and in‑home damage claims.
  • Dispatch trucks using GPS technology.
  • Oversee in‑home delivery for customers.
  • Maintain monthly operating reports that include statistics and customer service scores.
  • Oversee Customer Service Representatives and Routers.
  • Supervise hourly on‑site staff handling day‑to‑day operations in data entry, customer service, order processing, and delivery.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; reward and provide direction; address complaints and resolve problems.
Schedule

4:30PM to 3:30AM Monday‑Thursday or Tuesday‑Friday.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Experience in a supervisory role, including performance reviews of direct reports.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, time‑management, and customer‑service skills.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of technology adaptability and interpersonal skills.

Compensation
