Job description

Key Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in training, coaching, and motivating store employees

  • Learn to lead and support the talent management of employees

  • Learn to conduct performance conversations and support a positive team culture

  • Model high standard in customer service

  • Responsible for building strong customer relationships and delivering solutions. 

  • Oversee and monitor customer satisfaction levels and identify areas for              improvement 

  • Participate in workforce planning, scheduling, and training to ensure adequate coverage

  • Develop and understanding of local customer needs, shopping patterns, and community expectations 

  • Assist in executing marketing programs, initiatives, and promotions. 

  • Learning the aspects of the management, maintenance, and security of the store location and property.

  • Support daily store functions including inventory management, ordering, receiving, stock rotation, and merchandising

  • Participate in asset protection activities such as shrink reduction, loss prevention, and incident reporting 

  • Administrative duties include maintaining documentation of workflows 

  • Learn to interpret financial reports including sales, margins, labour costs, and operational expenses

Who you are:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent, post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field preferred

  • Previous retail and customer service experience

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a positive attitude

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

  • Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) experience an asset.

  • Proven effective communication skills; both verbal and written

  • Class 5 drivers license

  • Ability to lead, mentor and develop people and work well with others

  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development

  • You are available to work flexible hours, which will include days, evenings, and weekends
