Responsibilities:
  • Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate assigned direct reports.
  • Conduct employee 1on1's, and performance reviews.
  • Develop an annual department and individual Plans of Action with goals consistent with Unit Plan of Action, company strategic initiatives and profit objectives.
  • Develop department training programs for personnel.
  • Crosstrain in all department tasks.
  • Cascade effective and proficient communications to supervisors, co-workers, and direct reports.
  • Supporting the Unit President by developing strategic priorities and delivering results across all departments to ensure accounting and financial processes and reports are accurate, while identifying risks and proactively resolving potential gaps.
  • Supporting and promoting business initiatives and providing guidance and oversight on accounting and financial matters.
  • Working collaboratively with all departments to analyze financial and accounting data.
  • Ensuring all financial statements and related reports are prepared in compliance with company policy and state and federal regulations.
  • Completing monthly journal entries and closing of the general ledger and financial statements.
  • Preparing Month End reports for management review and submittals.
  • Managing accounts payables, accounts receivables, collections, local banking, and cash transactions.
  • Preparation for Sales and Use tax returns.
  • Managing the Job Start and Closing process.
  • Coordinating the preparation of monthly contract billings; and maintaining lien rights and coordinating conditional or unconditional waivers.
  • Inputting and maintaining Contract Management systems as it relates to change orders, T&M tickets, and contract price.
  • Assisting Payroll Clerk with inquiries and audit
  • Supporting facilities management and office operation tasks.
  • Supervising Front Desk Operations Assistant.
  • Monitor/approve all unit journal entries affecting the general ledger.
  • Supervise timely preparation of tax filing.
  • Coordinate the preparation of monthly financial statements and related reporting.
  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
  • Participate in Oversight Committees.
  • Conform to all company policies and procedures.
  • Display position & company core competencies.
  • Intentionally lives out the companies Mission, Purpose & Values.

Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the Construction industry.
  • Strong financial analysis skillset, with a focus on adding value to the business.
  • Proven experience managing accounting and financial processes.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of financial budgeting and project forecasting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a proven history of managing multiple projects and processes.
  • Advanced computer software skills in Microsoft Office Applications (especially Excel) and Accounting Software, preferably Penta.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.

Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 based on experience
