Overview
$13.75 / hour + Haunt Bonus
This role is eligible for the Haunt Bonus of $3 extra per hour on operating days, you must work the last weekend of Haunt.
FEAR is waiting for you! Kings Dominion is looking for highly motivated, energetic individuals to bring our Haunt creatures to life!
As a seasonal Makeup Artist you will get to work in multiple mediums and in a variety of styles.
Youll also:
  • Apply stage make-up, liquid latex, and other special effect makeup to talent.
  • Learn & comply with the safe and appropriate use of all chemicals, products, & equipment (such as air brush machines) necessary for the job.
  • Work with supervisors to maintain working condition of latex prosthetics assigned production, including maintenance and cleaning.

Responsibilities
  • Under direction of Makeup Supervision, assist in makeup and prosthetic application and removal.
  • Communicate with performers regarding any questions and/or concerns they may have.
  • Complete makeup looks as designed, in a timely manner
  • Help maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Participate in other duties such as Ushering as needed by the Entertainment Department..

Qualifications
  • You!
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity.
  • A resume and portfolio showing a wide range of makeup looks including beauty makeup, gore makeup, and special effect makeup. Must have a minimum of 8 different looks.
  • Previous experience with make-up applications, theatrical make-up or prosthetic application required.
  • Ability to work and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Willingness to assist in Haunt operations outside of makeup, such as ushering.
  • Individuals with passion and excitement about Kings Dominion
  • Availability to include weekends, evenings, and some weekdays.
