Job description

What We Are About:

There are numerous lottery retailers, and Jasper’s recognizes that what sets us apart from other

retailers is our dedication to Guest service and our clean, bright, and safe locations. Team members are

responsible for ensuring that every Guest is delighted with their experience at our locations. Team

members must have positive Guest interactions to ensure that Guests are not only satisfied, but

delighted with their experience, whether playing lottery, dining in, or purchasing tobacco or alcohol

products.

What the Job Is:

 Greet Guests in a warm and welcoming manner.

 Using proper carding techniques, ensure that no minors are allowed on the premises unless allowed by law.

 Educate Guests on menu, lottery, and other products.

 Offer and provide Guests who are dining in or playing ongoing lottery games with a complimentary beverage.

 Process transactions for lottery, food, tobacco, and alcohol purchases.

 Follow Jasper’s cash handling policies and procedures.

 Ensure that all alcohol service and tobacco sales are within both Jasper’s and City/State/Federal regulations.

 Always maintain the cleanliness of the location, including all Guest and Team member accessible areas.

 Perform inventory counts, including cash, lottery products, and tobacco items.

 Ensure that video lottery machines, tables, and seats are wiped down between each Guest.

 Gives a warm farewell and invites Guests to return.

 Balances cash and lottery products at end of shift

 May assist in training new Team Members.

What You Need to Have:

 Education:

o High School graduate or equivalent.

o Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language of the work location and the Guests who typically visit.

o Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations and complete computer data entry.

o Must hold a current Alcohol Service Permit (OLCC)

o Must be able to obtain valid Food Handler’s Card

 Experience:

o Previous customer service experience and cash handling experience is a plus.

o Must be able to communicate and work with a variety of people and personalities in a positive manner.

o Needs to be Guest-sensitive and possess a sense of timing and be able to multi-task so Guest needs are met in a timely manner.

o Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
