Job description

Cold Lake Lodge is accepting applications for a Temporary part time Evening Housekeeping position. Cold Lake Lodge offers independent living to seniors and includes meals, housekeeping, laundry and recreation services. This position is a temporary role till December 2026 with a possibility of extension.
This positions schedule is 4:00pm-12:00am- 5 shifts every 2 weeks, 8 hours per shift and subject to change as determined by the Lodge Manager.
Salary Schedule: $19.12- $22.37
Shift premium: $2.50 per hour for majority of hours between 1600 and 2359 hours
Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning, Laundry & Compliance: Execute weekly and cyclical facility cleaning following Licensing standards. Follow infection control guidelines, cleaning procedures, maintain linen and janitorial storage areas, and manage supply inventories.

  • Food Production & Kitchen: Assist cooks with food prep, monitor food quality and serving temperatures, ensure safe food handling, and maintain cleanliness across kitchen, cooler/freezer, storage, and dining areas.

  • Activity Delivery: Deliver engaging programs (games, social events, visiting, crafts) to promote active living among residents.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Log daily communication, maintain checklists, report maintenance/safety hazards and resident concerns to management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Knowledge of housekeeping, laundry, and kitchen/food service environments is an asset.

  • Certifications: Ability to provide Vulnerable Sector Check.

  • Skills: Ability to work independently, deliver recreation activities, operationally train staff, and ensure confidentiality and safety standards.

  • Interpersonal: Kind, patient, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills and a desire to work with seniors.
