We are seeking an experienced Laundry Mechanic to join our team. This critical role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing industrial laundry equipment in a high-volume hospitality laundry operation processing more than 30,000 pounds of laundry daily. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience working with industrial laundry systems, and a commitment to maintaining operational efficiency, safety, and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, folders, conveyors, pumps, boilers, and related systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair needs.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and operational effectiveness.
  • Perform routine inspections of motors, bearings, belts, valves, compressors, and other mechanical components.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure equipment operates safely and in compliance with company standards, OSHA regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Collaborate with operations leaders and laundry staff to support production goals and maintain uninterrupted workflow.
  • Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial laundry or related mechanical maintenance experience required.
  • Experience working with high-volume commercial laundry equipment strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair industrial machinery in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Experience reading technical manuals, diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and workplace safety practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment components as required.
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical certification in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or related field.
  • Experience with PLCs, automated controls, and production equipment.
  • Hospitality laundry, commercial laundry, or textile processing experience preferred.
