Job description

As a Pharmacy Production Clerk Representative, you will play a key role in ensuring medications are prepared, packaged, and distributed accurately while serving as a trusted resource for team members. In addition to performing pharmacy production activities, you will help support onboarding and training efforts, share operational knowledge, and serve as a subject matter expert to promote quality, consistency, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all Pharmacy Production Clerk Associate Representative responsibilities while consistently meeting quality and productivity standards.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for pharmacy production workflows, policies, procedures, and quality standards.

  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members on production processes, safety expectations, quality standards, and best practices.

  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to team members regarding operational questions and process execution.

  • Model and reinforce quality expectations, safety standards, and established procedures.

  • Support leadership by identifying training opportunities, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.

  • Ensure each package receives the correct paperwork, envelopes, medications, packing materials, and shipping labels before shipment.

  • Consistently work on only one order at a time to ensure accuracy and quality.

  • Ensure shipping information and patient addresses are accurate and printed correctly.

  • Accurately package prescriptions requiring special handling according to specific process and policy requirements.

  • Perform visual inspections of patient-bound medications and packaging for quality concerns.

  • Support medication preparation activities, including inspecting, labeling, and repackaging medications from manufacturer containers when applicable.

  • Prepare mail sacks, bulk containers, and packages for shipment and distribution.

  • Perform material handling activities, including stocking shelves, replenishing workstations, and maintaining inventory supplies.

  • Promote collaboration and share best practices across the team.

  • Escalate issues appropriately and provide recommendations that support quality and continuous improvement.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

  • Perform other duties and special assignments as needed to support pharmacy operations.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

  • General PC knowledge required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Good visual acuity.

  • Ability to read, compare, and differentiate data accurately.

  • Ability to review small medications, labels, and bottles for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.

  • Demonstrated ability to assist others, share knowledge, and support team success.

  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability while performing different roles throughout a shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience assisting with training, onboarding, mentoring, or coaching team members.

  • Experience serving as a subject matter expert or resource for operational processes.

  • Experience supporting quality improvement or operational excellence initiatives.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 18 - 27 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
