Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Irrigation Manager to help oversee day-to-day irrigation operations and support the training and development of new employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 2-wire irrigation systems, troubleshooting, and field operations. This role works closely with the Irrigation Manager to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Irrigation Manager in overseeing installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems.

  • Train and mentor new employees on best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills.

  • Troubleshoot and repair 2-wire irrigation systems, controllers, and components.

  • Perform site inspections to ensure quality standards and operational efficiency.

  • Coordinate with scheduling and project management teams to ensure timely completion of work.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in proper working order.

  • Ensure all work complies with company safety policies and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of irrigation experience, with proven expertise in 2-wire systems.

  • Strong knowledge of irrigation installation, repair, and troubleshooting.

  • Previous experience training or mentoring team members preferred.

  • Ability to read irrigation plans, wiring diagrams, and controller manuals.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
