Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller — Machinery Manufacturing Company

A growing machinery manufacturing company in the Bay Area is looking for an Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller to own day-to-day accounting and support the finance lead.

What You'll Do

  • Manage full month-end and year-end close
  • Own accounting accuracy for inventory, WIP, and cost of sales in a manufacturing ERP
  • Lead an AP/AR team, including process and escalation ownership
  • Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and journal entries
  • Support tax season, audits, and monthly sales tax review
  • Deliver budget-vs-actual reporting to department managers
  • Build documented processes where none currently exist

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2-3 years in a leadership role
  • Manufacturing or inventory-based accounting experience required
  • Strong Excel and ERP experience
  • CPA or CMA a plus, not required
