Summary:

The Plant Controller will be a key member of Gotion's U.S. Finance & Accounting team, supporting the growth of our Illinois manufacturing operations. The team is dedicated to ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and transparency while partnering closely with Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Global Finance. As part of a rapidly expanding manufacturing and R&D environment, the Finance team plays a critical role in driving strategic decisions and ensuring efficient use of resources.

Illinois Manufacturing plant in Manteno, IL. This role will oversee cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, compliance, and internal controls for the site. The Plant Controller will serve as a strategic partner to the Plant Manager and Operations leadership, ensuring financial objectives are aligned with production, quality, and cost efficiency goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing finance experience, leadership skills, and the ability to navigate a global, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all plant-level financial operations, including cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Partner with Plant and Operations leadership to provide financial insights that support decision-making, cost efficiency, and productivity improvements.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, corporate policies, and external audit requirements.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on plant performance metrics (e.g., cost variances, inventory accuracy, capital expenditures).
  • Develop and lead a small finance team onsite, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement in financial processes.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or plant controller role.
    • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability to manage and develop a finance team.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence cross-functional teams.
    • Advanced Excel skills; ability to work with complex data.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $120k - $160k, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits.
