Description

The Core Clerk is responsible for executing the lifecycle of activities related to intake, system tracking, warranty administration, inventory reconciliation, and shipment of salvageable core products (parts and components) to the Company's remanufacturer for recycling.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Execute all functions related to the core product management process including but not limited to receiving, inspection, inventory system posting and tracking, shelving/storing, pulling/staging, and preparation of outbound shipments and accompanying documentation in accordance with re-manufacturer guidelines, company policy, and all prescribed quality and safety standards.
  • Administer and track the submission and processing of core product warranty claims. Serve as the primary point of contact for Flowood TEPS dealers for return of all used cores. Refer all non-standard issues around core return policies and warranty details to the Used Parts/Warehouse Manager.
  • Monitor and audit inventory levels on all warranty core product and related activity reports according to pre-established parameters. Therein, reconcile related statements from the remanufacturer and related inspection variance reports.
  • Reconcile and prepare allied parts vendor invoices for approval/payment.
  • Serve as the primary fabricator of customized hydraulic hoses to specification for external customers, using bulk materials in accordance with all prescribed quality and safety standards. Investigate and assist in the resolution of related customer service issues.
  • Operate ladder and material handling equipment (i.e. forklift and pallet jack) to transfer core parts and components to designated areas for warehouse storage or outbound shipment in accordance with all prescribed safety standards.
  • Maintain work area, tools, and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain a professional and proper personal appearance at all times.
  • Keep up to date with developments in parts, tooling, and systems.
  • Periodically travel to company branch locations to perform core product inventory-related functions.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of combined work experience as an inventory clerk, retail counter salesman and/or warehouse associate, preferably in a parts sales and service shop environment.
  • Proficient verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills, detail oriented, and ability to work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good computer skills using related information system applications (ex: SIS, DBS).
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced service environment.
  • Ability to safely use material handling equipment and wear company required PPE for material handling job tasks.
  • Have and maintain a driving record (MVR) which adheres to the company's motor vehicle policy standards.
  • Ability to work standard five-day work schedule, including daily overtime, and occasional weekend hours as necessary.
