Job description

We are a Brooklyn-based design-build firm specializing in hospitality projects, including restaurants, cafés, hotels, and commercial spaces. Since 2012, we have successfully completed more than 200 projects, with a strong focus on serving Japanese-owned businesses. We are passionate about creating functional, beautiful spaces that bring our clients' visions to life.

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Interior Designer to support our design team throughout every stage of the project, from concept development through construction. This role offers the opportunity to work on distinctive hospitality projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Perform field measurements and existing site documentation.
  • Create and revise 2D CAD drawings and presentation documents.
  • Develop 3D renderings and visual presentations.
  • Research and specify finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
  • Coordinate design documentation with architects, consultants, and project managers.
  • Visit project sites to monitor construction progress and verify design implementation.
  • Assist with project presentations, material selections, and client meetings.
  • Help maintain organized project files and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Interior Design or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience creating 3D renderings.
  • Knowledge of commercial interior design principles and construction documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Japanese language skills are preferred but not required.
