Job description

Commercial General Contractor seeks a qualified Assistant Project Manager for a construction company specializing in Class A Commercial Office Interiors, Industrial Interiors, Medical, Dental, Retail and Institutional projects. 
 
Please review the following responsibilities and qualifications and submit your resume only if you qualify for the opportunity.
Responsibilities:
  • Solicit subcontractor quotes and prepare job estimates/bids
  • Assist with construction schedule management and update schedules accordingly
  • Monitor budgets throughout projects
  • Develop and produce scopes of work
  • Monitor Superintendents / Sub-Contractors for jobs in progress
  • Negotiate and track subcontractor agreements
  • Collaborate with Project manager to process monthly billings to owners, and update project cost reports
  • Maintain open line of communications with clients, architects 
  • Process subcontractor monthly pay requisitions and ensure all supporting attachments are correct.
  • Familiar with OSHA requirements; 10 hour certification preferred
  • Prepare and review submittals for compliance
  • Ensure client’s needs are met upon completion of project (close-out documentation, etc.)
  • Strive for repeat business with clients 
  • Training to become a self-sufficient Project Manager preferred
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management required
  • Estimating experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Autocad.  ProCore experience would be +++
  • Self-starter; willing to accept direction but needs none  
  • Able to attend client meetings and architect meetings 
  • Works well with clients to increase opportunities for repeat business 
  • Friendly, honest, integrity, sense of humor
