The Sr Epic Reporting & Business Analyst serves as the primary liaison between operational departments and the Cogito/Data & Analytics team. This position partners closely with clinical and business leaders to understand workflows, gather and document business requirements, analyze operational needs, and ensure analytics solutions meet organizational objectives. The role emphasizes relationship management, process improvement, issue resolution, and translating business needs into actionable technical requirements rather than report development or advanced data engineering.
Education

Area of Responsibilities
*Analyze data, reports, processes, and measurements for key managed care indicators to recognize trends in patient care. Diagram and evaluate existing processes. Develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
*Delivers key metrics, reports and dashboard with interpretation, and contributes to the development of hypothesis and actions. Provides guidance to business stakeholders on what data to capture, how to map data need to business questions, and how to prioritize analysis work while partnering with other data experts to execute. Extract and analyze data from various data sources to report to internal and external customers.
*Follows directives from data and analytics officer to ensure cohesive team with clear and attainable goals as this area continues to evolve in the institution. Assist in training of leaders and others as needed as the data and analytics strategy evolve within the system.
*Take a lead role in the development of advanced analytic tools and views of health care data including: retrospective analysis, data visualization, interactive dashboards, and development and implementation of predictive models.
*Using data analytics, develop, implement, and maintain lean healthcare quality related metrics that reflects the progress and sustainability of lean healthcare. Prepare diagrams, graphical presentation, and flow charts that explain current and future processes. Consults and participates with departments on lean projects, including but not limited to, process flow mapping, kaizen events, and FMEA.
