Job description

Principal Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team in Broadview, IL. As a leader in fineblanking, conventional stamping and plastic injection molding, Principal Manufacturing sets itself above the competition.

The Quality Inspector will inspect products manufactured in-hour or processed by outside processors to ensure compliance with contract specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications.
  • Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments.
  • Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
  • Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
  • Updates and enters Quality Department's data into Plex.
  • Process blueprints through the entire Department.
  • Follow all company safety rules and IATF requirements and maintain work area within the lean guidelines.
  • Assist in training of operators on proper use of inspection equipment and inspection techniques, monitoring/auditing inspection activities and documenting results.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Education/Certification.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of EPR system.
  • Understanding of SAE and metrics (basic metrology skills).
  • Good computer skills i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Must be able to multi-task under high pressure environment.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
