Job description

Year-round employment. The Landscaper is responsible for the installation and maintenance of perennial and annual beds. Assist in the pruning of trees and shrubs; landscape installation, turf management, snow removal and general maintenance of the grounds (82 acres) of Pennswood Village, under the direction of the Landscape Manager.

The candidate should have a strong background in horticulture. Install and maintain perennial and annual beds. Assist in the pruning of landscape according to trade standards.

Install new landscape material according to design concepts and trade standards. Maintain turf areathe s of village, including mowing, fertilization, insect, disease and weed control. Use appropriate control methods to manage insect and disease problems on ornamentals.

Assist in the removal of snow from Pennswood Village. Regular attendance at seminars and continuing education programs. Keep accurate records, work with vendors, and have problem-solving skills during time of emergency situations.
