Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at Unified Hospital, you will work onsite, directly interacting with patients in a primary care outpatient office. Your work hours will be Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. You'll collaborate closely with five attending physicians and five other nurse practitioners, fostering a team-oriented culture that values open communication and mutual respect.

Key Responsibilities

In your role, you will undertake a range of clinical duties, including:

  • Conducting thorough physical examinations and reviewing medical histories to assess patients' health status.
  • Ordering, analyzing, and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies, to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
  • Diagnosing acute and chronic health conditions and developing appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Prescribing medications and therapies, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and health records in our electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure continuity of care.
  • Educating patients and their families about health issues, preventive care, and prescribed medications, enhancing patient understanding and compliance.
  • Promoting healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention techniques through community outreach and education initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A valid Physician Assistant license in the state of Florida, along with a current DEA Number.
  • Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).

Compensation and Benefits
