Job description

Job Summary:
The Manager in Training (M.I.T.) program is designed to prepare individuals for leadership roles within our company. The M.I.T. will work closely with store leadership to learn all aspects of daily operations, team management, customer service, inventory control, and performance standards. This is a hands-on role intended to develop future leaders by providing structured training, mentorship, and performance-based growth opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn and assist in the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures.

  • Train under experienced managers to understand company policies, customer service standards, and operational procedures.

  • Assist in supervising and developing team members to meet performance and service standards.

  • Support inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation.

  • Participate in scheduling, payroll, and labor cost management under supervision.

  • Monitor sales, expenses, and profit goals; identify and suggest areas of improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and company standards at all times.

  • Handle customer issues professionally and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Attend training sessions and complete assigned development tasks.

  • Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and commitment to company values.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

  • Previous experience in retail, food service, or customer service is strongly preferred.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
